Prem Urali

Chairman

Prior to co-founding HealthUnity™ Corporation, Prem was a Group Manager in the BizTalk Server division of Microsoft, responsible for the BizTalk Accelerator line of server products including the HL7 and HIPAA Accelerators (integration engine). Prem incubated these initiatives from concept to $10 million in incremental revenue in 3 years. Prior to Microsoft, he founded a B2B software company Commercia Corp, which was acquired by Microsoft in 2000.

Prior to that Prem held the position of CTO of Petopia, now a division of Petco Animal Supplies (NASDAQ: PETC). Under his leadership, Petopia was ranked by InfoWorld in its e-Business 100 list in 1999. Previously, Prem worked for 4 years in the consulting services division of Microsoft, where he was one of the youngest persons to be elevated to the position of Principal Consultant in 1998. In this capacity, Prem led the program that launched the very first electronic commerce presence for Gap, Baby Gap and Gap Kids. Prem has founded companies in India and US in the software consulting and product areas.

He holds a Master of Science degree from Iowa State University in Computer Engineering. He also holds an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. Prem has 3 patents pending in the area of message-oriented middleware systems.

Jay Pathy

Jay has over 15 years of experience working with customers in delivering mission critical enterprise solutions in diverse industry verticals such as healthcare, financial services, retail, and government.

Prior to co-founding HealthUnity™ Corporation, Jay spent 14 years with Microsoft where he was involved with various teams holding senior engineering, project management and business development positions mostly focused towards Microsoft's large enterprise customers, leading ISVs, IHVs, ODMs and OEMs. During his career, he led various projects which enabled Microsoft win major market share in strategic enterprise software market segments. Customer focus, Jay believes, is his defining value with a "can do, never give up" attitude.

Jay has been actively involved in the community for decades and he presently serves as a board member to the Autism Spectrum Treatment and Research Center in Seattle. Previously, he was a member of the technical advisory board of Habitat for Humanity International. He holds a BS and an MS in Computer Science from the Center for Advanced Computer Studies at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.

Eric Hughes

Eric is an accomplished sales executive with over 14 years of experience building and leading high performance sales teams in the enterprise software business. His successful track record includes leadership roles across the full spectrum of IT operations and Healthcare information management technologies. At HealthUnity, Eric is the senior sales executive and has responsibility for worldwide sales and technical field operations.

Prior to joining HealthUnity, Eric held various executive positions with HP Software's enterprise and SMB sales organizations. Eric joined HP Software via their acquisition of Opsware subsequent to Opsware acquisition of iConclude. At Opsware he was the Worldwide Vice President of Sales for a major product line. Before joining Opsware, Eric spent over 10 years in various leadership roles in sales and field technical operations at iConclude, Pacific Edge Software and Cerner. Eric holds a BS in Marketing from the St. Cloud State University in Minnesota, prior to that he attended Aalborg University in Denmark.

Frank Artale

Frank Artale is Vice President, Business Development at Citrix Systems. He has 24 years of experience in the software industry and is responsible for all aspects of Citrix™'s business development with software and hardware technology partners.

Frank joined Citrix as part of the acquisition of XenSource where he was Vice President of Business Development. He has advised or is advising such companies as iConclude (acquired by Opsware), Rendition Networks (acquired by Opsware), Zenprise and Centrify Software. He is a member of the Venture Development team at Accel Partners. Previous to his role at XenSource, Mr. Artale co-founded Therion Software, which was conceived and executed as a structured spin-in with Brocade Communications. Prior to that Frank was the founder and CEO of Consera Software, a technology venture acquired by Hewlett-Packard in 2004 for $85M.

Previously, Frank served as Vice President of the Windows Solutions Group at VERITAS, where he oversaw overall product strategy of Windows targeted solutions. Frank also spent nine years at Microsoft, where he held a variety of senior management positions that were focused on product development, services and sales, including General Manager of the Windows 2000 group and Director of Program Management for Windows NT 4.0. At Microsoft, Frank received Chairman's Award for Top US Member of Technical Staff in 1993.

John C. Erickson

John is the Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer for Erickson Retirement Communities. He founded Erickson Retirement Communities in 1983. John has been involved in the senior care industry since the early 1970s, acquiring and developing moderate income retirement housing in Florida and Arizona. In 1983, he began concentrating on providing full-service continuing care retirement housing in the northeastern United States with the flagship community of Charlestown near Baltimore, Md. The $250 million campus is America's largest retirement community.

From 1972 to 1979, as president of Florida Leisure Communities, Inc., John acquired, built and managed over 3,000 housing units for moderate-income retirees in Florida. In 1979, as owner and president of Retirement & Health Services Corporation, John continued his leisure housing work in Florida and expanded into commercial development in the Palm Beach area.

John holds a B.A. from St. Bernard's College and an M.A. from Catholic University.

Pierre Donaldson

Pierre is a partner at JLA Ventures and at BlackBerry Partners Fund. He joined the firm in 2005 and brings an extensive experience in the software and high technology industries. Prior to joining JLA Ventures, Pierre played a leadership role in a number of companies in North America and in Europe: Bioscrypt Inc., Descartes Systems Group, Treasury Services Co. (acquired in 1997 by Oracle Corporation), Virtual Prototypes Inc., Dun & Bradstreet Software Corporation. Mr. Donaldson received his Bachelor of Commerce from Hautes Etudes Commerciales at University of Montreal.
